Color Me Butterfly

Today I watched humanity stoop to a new low. I have been going back and fort with my abusive boyfriend for four years now. On two seperate occassions he has abuse me in public in front of bystanders. Today he threw me out of the car on a major highway in my pajamas. My children were screaming uncontrollably. When he drove around and decided he wanted me to get back in the car he proceeded to drag me by my hair. Their were people driing by just looking and their were to men in a truck parked about twenty feet away and they just sat their and watched as he forced me into the car.
When i finally got back out an angel pulled up beside us and told me to get in and took me home. Even the ambulance would not stop for me! I pleaded and tried to flag them down and they just kept going while this man violently attacked me. So this is my message IT COULD BE A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH SO DON'T JUST STAND BY! CALL THE POLICE WAIT WITH THE VICTIM! SHOW HER THAT SHE IS NOT ALONE! YOU COULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO A WOMAN THAT NEVER RECIEVES KINDNESS OR PROTECTION.
IN SMALL TOWNS ITS LIKE THEY SWEEP US UNDER THE RUG DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS THE BLACK SHEEP OR FAMILY BUSINESS. THE POLICE HEREHAVE NEVER OFFERED ACESS TO ANY DV RESOURCES. I HAVE CALLED THEM MANY TIMES I TELL THEM"HE'S GONNA COME BACK HE STILL HAS A KEY! THE POLICE WOULD LEAVE ME IN THE HOUSE ALONE I HAD NO PHONE NO CAR AND I WAS A MILE AWAY FROM MY NEIGHBORS. AND THEY WOULD LEAVE AND HE WOULD COME BACK AND BEAT ME WORSE. PLEASE OFFICERS THESE WOMEN NEED YOUR HELP TREAT THEM WITH RESPECT LIKE IT WAS YOUR MOTHER.

U R so strong. I have never heard a story like before, I am a student and I am researching domestic violence for a class I am taking.... and U r right women are underly protected by the police. I just want to let u know that U r strong and have survived and experienced something that I could only imagine experiencing...U R in my prayers
