Survivor Chat Cafe > where do we go where do we turn now?
too often we take things for granted, too often we pass judgement on things we dont know or more specifically on people who are different from us, yet no one really knows how it feels where we are coming from unless you have been in the same or similar situations, for 15 years i was abused by my mother and after getting free and taken in with my grandparents after 5 years it has taken me this long to final admit i need help, and decide i wasnt goin to let my life be controlled anymre by what i went through, why should we let these evil people destroy our lifes,5 years and im finally goin to see a councillor, 5 years and i finally went to the police

Well,at lest you went. There are those out there who are still holding on to the pass and keeping it in front of them instead of behind them. I am so proud that you made a start. That's all it takes is just to make a start and once you have done that the rest will follow. Peace and Blessings.

i was abused by my mother also. i am 33 now and still am crippled (mentally) by her abuse. i've sought counseling. but am unable to date and can barely maintain friendships.
