Imagine a world where all women are safe from the dangers of an abusive partner. Where they can walk with their heads held high, without crouching in the shadows of shame. A shame they carry deep in their minds, their hearts, their worlds. A shame they rarely reveal, for fear they'll be judged or worse yet...further abused or even killed.
This shame exists!
In our mothers, our daughters, our sisters, our friends.
More often than not, a woman has been abused or knows someone who has. This has become the reality of a world more common than we care to imagine. And it is becoming more and more prevalent, amongst every culture, every community.
The Saving Grace Campaign is designed to raise awareness of and educate our communities about domestic and intimate partner violence. It encourages all of us to raise our voice and speak out against domestic violence.
Though we may never fully eradicate domestic violence, we must take responsibility and offer our resources, support, and assistance.
