Laws are not enough we as a community need to stop this first hand. I never saw my generation of family abused in any way. That was due to proper upbringing. But I know people that has and my heart cause out to them and I offer my support. Me being a man realize that the real problem stems from a man or the lack of being one. Some men don't know how to be a man. Its not there fault in many cases. I was brought up in a loving household with both parents. Not only did my father show me how to be a man, when it comes to taking care of a family. But my mom also showed me how to respect a woman. I would never hit myself, curse myself, or bring to myself bodily harm of any sort so why would I do my mate in that way. True my parents may have arguments and disagreements but they were adults about them and work them out that is what love is about. So that brings me to the community we need to reteach the way of loving and respecting one another. See a man is mainly taught how to work, provide and take care. So if a man has the wrong role model his idea of being a certain kind of man is distorted. If he grows up around pimps, gansters, and theives then guess what thats his idea of being a man. So sometime a women who is our backbone have to instill in us as men the respect and love we need to share with our women of the world. Believe me its not easy for the women or the son,who later will be that man, but it can be done. Our problem as men we tend to try to find someone like our mother. Why? Because that mother provides unconditional love. Whereas your woman might not. And when children comes into play we all know they might come before the mate which I feel our children should always be our first priority anyway. So as women instillin us as young men at an early age to respect all women. I was told when I was younger that if i could educate myself with the knowledge of my favorite hobbie which is restoring older cars, should I not educate myself with the concerns of my woman. But it took some woman(my mother) to instill that in me. My cause if any is to make this world a better place because I have two lovely girls, Dru 9, and Lia 5 and I want to grow up as perfectly as possible. So if I can help in any way L.Y. Marlow from a mans perspective let me know 601-395-1024 or 601-620-8270. Believe me its alot of good men out here, and sometimes we just as men have to remind each other a woman took care of us in the begining so lets be supportive to her to the end.
